VOLUNTEER

Fostering:

Fostering for a rescued animal in your own home until a permanent adopter is found. It is the primary way that LUXE PAWS is able to rescue cats and kittens because of our foster volunteers. Our cats, kittens, and sometimes dogs come to us off the streets. Our foster volunteers take these cats in, clean them up, get them healthy, and shower them with love until a forever home is found. Find out more here.

Adoption Pop-up's & Special Events:

LUXE PAWS holds adoption mingles throughout the neighborhood to showcase a few of our adoptable kitties and raise awareness about Trap/Neuter/Return or TNR.  We're also included in public events throughout the year.  In order to successfully execute an event, we need an amazing team of volunteers to help transport kitties, set-up and break down, chat with the public about TNR and spay/neuter and inform potential adopters about the adoption process and collect volunteer/ potential adopter emails for future communication.

Transporting Cats:

LUXE PAWS takes cats and kittens to Fix Nation (near Burbank) on a regular basis, as well as multiple vet appointments at ARK Animal Hospital (near USC). Often times we need help driving multiple cats, delivering medication or dropping off kittens with fosters.

Trapping Cats/TNR Support:

Trap/Neuter/Return requires multiple levels of engagement, from local outreach/talking to the public and scouting TNR locations, coordinating with property owners and feeders for the actual trapping date, trapping cats ( every Tuesday night) & it requires a car to carry traps to each location & pick them up Sunday evening to return them back where they were trapped.

TNR is serious volunteer work, it requires a passion for helping cats, a can do attitude, a willingness to persist, problem solve & a lot of patience. .

Community Outreach:

Not everyone is aware of what we do and what we go through to fix cats and save kittens. We’re always in need people to help by sharing our our social media content, post on our local online neighborhood groups about TNR & why it’s important to reach out about fixing cats BEFORE they have kittens.

We always need people to help us cast a wider net for responsible local fosters & adopters.

If you have any other talents that you think would be helpful to Luxe Paws, PLEASE use our contact form to let us know.
